ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – In January, two people died outdoors in Anchorage on the same day, including one man whose body was found outside the Log Cabin Visitors Center downtown. Neither were counted as an official outdoor death in Anchorage.
In fact, there have been no outdoor deaths this year, according to APD.
The reason? According to Thea Agnew Bemben, special assistant to Mayor Suzanne LaFrance, the deaths didn’t fit the city’s definition…
