ANCHORAGE, Alaska (KTUU) – Fire crews responded to an occupied multi-family building fire in Anchorage Wednesday afternoon, prompting a second alarm and potential medical transport for at least one resident, according to officials.
The Anchorage Fire Department said the call came in at 2:58 p.m. as a structure fire with reports of entrapment at a multi-residential building near Mountain View Drive and North Lane Street. Crews upgraded the response to a second alarm at 3:06 p.m.
People near the scene initially reported visible flames. AFD reported the fire was under control by 3:56 p.m.
