Two arrests in separate child sexual abuse material cases highlight ongoing efforts to combat online exploitation in Alaska.
On Wednesday, 26-year-old Jeremy Morris of Kenai was arrested without incident by Task Force Dawnbreaker, which includes the Alaska Bureau of Investigation Technical Crime Unit, Anchorage Police Department, and Homeland Security Investigations. Morris is facing 10 counts of possession of child sexual abuse material and is being held at Wildwood Correctional Center without bail.
Also on Wednesday, Joshua Hamrick, 24, from Florida, was sentenced in Fairbanks after pleading guilty in a CSAM case. Hamrick received four years with two suspended, plus 15 years of Sex Offender Registry registration…
