Credit the University of Wisconsin golf team with prepping two Michigan natives to star in the Golf Association of Michigan (GAM) 35th annual Michigan Women’s Championship. Traverse City’s Grace Slocum and Grand Blanc’s Kate Brody finished 1-2 at this year’s tournament held at the St. Clair Golf Club.
The Badgers, who have advanced to the NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championships twice in program history (2003 and 2013), lured Slocum, a freshman, and Brody, a Junior, away from Michigan schools to compete in their program.
