Pedestrian killed after being struck by two vehicles on I-80

A pedestrian was killed early July 5 after being struck by two vehicles on eastbound Interstate 80 at mile marker 245, according to the Iowa State Patrol.

The crash was reported at 1:05 a.m. The Iowa State Patrol said the pedestrian was standing in the traveled portion of the interstate when they were hit first by a 2026 Freightliner tractor-trailer and then by a 2025 Buick Enclave.
