Northville center helps those with autism and special needs find employment

Northville – At the Living and Learning Enrichment Center in Northville, something truly special is happening.

“We work with adults that have special needs, we started with autism, and then it slowly crept into autism-related challenges, and now it’s just, we work with anyone — you don’t have to have a disability, you don’t have to have a diagnosis,” said Rachelle Vartanian, Founder of the center.

Vartanian says their biggest focus is helping their members gain employment. On average they help nearly 500 people, some members working at the 12-acre center, others spread out through the community, working with the over 100 partner companies. Having over 20 years experience working in special education, and having a child with autism, Vartanian says she’s passionate when it comes to helping families…
