Poor weather conditions, careless driving cause semitruck crash near Ann Arbor, police say

WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI — A semi-truck driver crashed south of Ann Arbor, temporarily closing down a portion of a freeway around 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 23. The driver was heading south on US-23 at I-94, exit 35, when he crashed, according to Michigan State Police. The 50-year old driver from Newark, Ohio lost control of his vehicle on the wet roads, according to MSP spokesperson Rene Gonzalez.
