WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI – A woman charged in the death of a 2-year-old child had been abusing the child for months, officials allege. Laporsha Trishae Murray, 31, is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, Jan. 25 for a motion hearing related to her bond, according to court documents. She has been charged with felony murder and first-degree child abuse. Both charges are felonies carrying sentences of or up to life in prison.
