2 arrested after methamphetamine, machete found during Shelby Township traffic stop

SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich. – A 52-year-old man from Brighton and a 31-year-old woman from Yale were taken into custody Jan. 19 after a traffic stop in Shelby Township. The two were pulled over near the intersection of Schoenherr and 22 Mile roads. According to authorities, the driver admitted to police he had a revoked driver’s license. Police said he had several warrants out for his arrest and the passenger admitted there was methamphetamine hiding under the front seat.
