ANN ARBOR, MI – Before it was dubbed “Commie High” and earned a reputation as a forward-thinking model for an alternative school, the building at 401 N. Division St. was home to Jones School, an elementary school that was an anchor in Ann Arbor’s historically Black neighborhood now known as Kerrytown.
