Gov. Gretchen Whitmer gave her annual State of the State Address in front of a joint session of the Michigan legislature last Wednesday. Her speech focused on a variety of policy areas including housing, education, job creation and economic growth. The Michigan Daily spoke with University of Michigan students and faculty about their reactions to the speech and how her proposed policies may affect the lives of students living in Michigan.
