ANN ARBOR, MI – Dave Szczygiel still remembers the day he and his friend John Russell found Tiny Bear while out mushroom hunting in rural Washtenaw County. “We were looking for morels,” he said, explaining how they stumbled upon a small raccoon on the ground who looked almost dead and Russell pledged to nurse the animal back to life.
