The Southfield Human Resources Department is hosting a Job Fair on Wednesday, March 6, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event, initially planned for January 23, was rescheduled due to bad weather. It will be held at the Southfield Pavilion, 26000 Evergreen Road. The fair aims to fill vacancies within the city and other participating businesses.
Southfield is seeking candidates for various full-time roles. These include dispatchers, firefighters, police officers, maintenance and building service workers, building trades technicians, inspectors, 911 dispatchers, talent development specialists, and urban forestry workers.
The city also has non-career, seasonal, and part-time roles available. These roles span public works, parks and recreation, clerical/administrative support, library aides, crossing guards, parking enforcement officers, TOSS bus drivers, code assistants, and special projects coordinators.
Several local businesses, including Ascension Michigan, Corewell Health, Guardian Alarm, and others, will be recruiting at the job fair. The event is open to anyone 18 and above, with no reservations needed. Attendees can register at the Human Resources table for a chance to win a prize.
