Ann Arbor takes stance against proposed financial incentives for DTE Energy

ANN ARBOR, MI – Ann Arbor is taking a stance against a proposal to charge DTE Energy customers extra fees to financially reward the company for improved performance. The city made its position known in a Feb. 2 filing with the Michigan Public Service Commission, saying the city strongly opposes a proposal by the commission’s staff to charge utility customers an extra $10 per year to create a $23 million incentive/disincentive pool for DTE as it relates to power outages and power distribution performance.
