Man who barricaded himself, child at Ann Arbor hotel given $5M bond

WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI – A 43-year-old man accused of kidnapping his 2-year-old child and barricading the two of them in an Ann Arbor hotel has been given a $5 million bond. Ryan Matthew Johnson, 43, was arraigned on charges of first-degree home invasion, assault with a dangerous weapon, felon in possession of a firearm, domestic violence and assault on Monday, Feb. 12, before 14-A1 District Court Magistrate Elisha Fink. The first three charges are felonies; the last two are misdemeanors.
