Paul Finebaum Names Major Program With ‘Zero’ Chance of Winning CFP

On Wednesday morning’s edition of GetUp, host Mike Greenberg invited Paul Finebaum and EJ Manuel on the show to answer 10 burning questions about the college football season.

As part of the segment, Greenberg asked Finebaum whether the Michigan Wolverines are closer to winning the national title for a second straight season… or missing the 12-team College Football Playoff altogether. Of course, he had an emphatic answer.

“Greeny, they’re much closer to missing the playoff,” responded Finebaum. “Right now, they’re literally on the outside looking in. They need to upset somebody really big like Texas, otherwise they’re not going to be in the playoff.”

With guys like Jim Harbaugh, JJ McCarthy and Blake Corum all long gone, Finebaum isn’t a believer in the Wolverines as a threat to repeat, and he made that opinion very clear.

“Their chance of winning it all again — how about zero,” added Finebaum.
