A New Capital Grille is Approved in Livonia

A new Capital Grille is coming to Livonia at 17123 Laurel Park Dr as part of a development effort to utilize the remaining space on the lot that’s partially occupied by a Holiday Inn. The Livonia Planning Commission approved for the project on their July 16 meeting.

The project was submitted by local investment group Laurel Investment, LLC and proposes to build two free-standing restaurants: a Copper’s Hawk Winery location and a Capital Grille location. The Capital Grille restaurant will sit in the site’s southwest corner. The restaurant will occupy approximately 10,086 square feet with an indoor capacity of 246 guests. There will be no outdoor seating. The development group hopes to begin demolishing before the year ends.

With 72 locations across the United States, there currently is only one Capital Grille in Michigan in Troy. However, the brand has such a strong reputation that many would travel from adjacent townships to dine at the restaurant, according to DBusiness Magazine . The proposed restaurant will be the chain’s much-awaited second location in the area.
