Recruiting Ranks Reveal Which Program Has More Talent In Texas-Michigan Game

Recruiting is one of the many things Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian has excelled in since arriving to Austin.

His first full recruiting cycle with the Longhorns in 2022 concluded with the No. 5 class in the nation, headlined by key members of the current squad in left tackle Kelvin Banks and running back Jaydon Blue.

Sarkisian’s staff followed that up with the No. 3 class in the country after landing several prominent five-star players including quarterback Arch Manning and linebacker Anthony Hill. In 2024 , Texas brought in the No. 5 class in the country.

The current roster talent comparison has a clear discrepancy between five-star players on each roster. Texas has 11 five-star players on its current roster compared to Michigan’s one.
