Blissfield, Clinton, Hudson, Lenawee Christian, Madison, Morenci get wins in Week 2

In a week of surprises, Blissfield knocks off Tecumseh, Madison is the only beaten left and Morenci gets win No. 1 while Adrian, Clinton, Hudson and Lenawee Christian bounce back.

Here’s a look at Week 2:

Blissfield 20, Tecumseh 19

TECUMSEH — After taking a tough loss to Division 8 Whiteford, Blissfield bounced back in a big way by upsetting Division 4 Tecumseh with a clutch late drive.

Kassidy Lenz scored with 17 seconds left to put the Royals (1-1) up and give him two touchdowns and 204 yards rushing. Tyler Clement had a strong game for Tecumseh (1-1), rushing for 151 yards and three scores and passed for 75 yards.

Blissfield blocked a last second field goal to hold on for the win.

Madison 22, Jackson Northwest 6

MADISON TWP. — The Trojans, after going 1-8 a season ago is the final unbeaten remaining in Lenawee County this season at 2-0 after beating Division 3 Jackson Northwest.

Brian Dopp was outstanding with a 52-yard touchdown pass to Jalonn Borders and then ran for scores of 21 and 16 yards. The defense made three interceptions with Bryce Jordan, Cam Barber and Derrell Tillman getting picks while Ethan Gafford had two sacks.
