I KNOW Michigan has yet to establish an offensive identity. You are what you can do, and Michigan cannot do what it did the last three years, because it doesn’t have the personnel to. As I’ve written several times before, Michigan was able to hang its hat on its running game in 2021 and 2022 thanks in large part to a Joe Moore award winning line. Then, it was able to do so again last year thanks largely to a generational quarterback who could balance the equation in the box. And then, to put Michigan over the championship hump, JJ McCarthy was an all-time great at keeping the chains moving both from structure and through his improv ability.
