Human bone found on University of Michigan campus not connected to crime, police say

ANN ARBOR, MI — Human remains found on the University of Michigan campus likely came from an educational specimen, police said. Testing determined the single bone discovered during construction in June is consistent with anatomical specimens commonly used in medical schools and museums, said Melissa Overton, deputy chief of police for the University of Michigan Division of Public Safety and Security.
