Dozens of anti-Semitic fliers tossed in yards in Farmington Hills, police say

Police in Farmington Hills are searching for suspects accused of throwing more than 100 bags of what they said were anti-Semitic fliers into driveways and yards in Farmington Hills.

Police Chief Jeff King said in a release that bags with “virulent antisemitic” fliers in them were found on private properties in the area of 14 Mile and Farmington roads Saturday. Residents found bags, weighted down to make them easier to throw, with fliers inside on lawns and driveways in the area.

“The timing of this detestable activity exacerbates the chilling effect on our community,” King said. “This type of hateful activity will not be tolerated in Farmington Hills and our agency will use all available resources to prevent, investigate, and prosecute those responsible for this incident.”

King said detectives and command officers are assisting in the investigation, which has included doing interviews, knocking on doors and collecting evidence, and described the effort as a “very active investigation, with investigators coordinating with our State and Federal Law Enforcement partners, the Anti-Defamation League, and other jurisdictions who experienced matching incidents.”
