Michigan’s Jack Tuttle Makes Stark Admission On Injuries Leading Up To First Game At Washington

Michigan football lost for the second time of the season on the road against Washington last Saturday in a game that saw a changing of the guard at quarterback for Coach Sherrone Moore and Offensive Coordinator Kirk Campbell’s offense.

Incumbent starter Alex Orji was pulled early in the second quarter for seventh-year graduate student Jack Tuttle with the Wolverines trailing 14-0.

Tuttle led Michigan to a 17-14 lead before costly turnovers committed by the former Indiana quarterback helped to spark Washington’s 27-17 home victory.

On Tuesday, Tuttle made a surprising admission on his status leading up to the Washington game last week, as shared by Wolverines reporter Alejandro Zúñiga on X.

“The week of Washington was the real first time I practiced for a while, a long while,” Tuttle said, adding that he didn’t even participate in scout team action.

“Just trying to get back and get right,” Tuttle said about his current goals, adding that he is focusing on getting “a lot more reps” with his teammates during Michigan’s bye week.
