ANN ARBOR, MI – The “right to sit” is now the law in Ann Arbor and it could be expanded across the state under new legislation pending in the Michigan Legislature. State Rep. Dylan Wegela, D-Garden City, has introduced House Bill 5983, similar to an ordinance the Ann Arbor City Council approved Oct. 21 requiring employers to let workers sit down on the job as long as it doesn’t interfere with their duties.
