Desmond Howard is a former Heisman Trophy winner who has made a name for himself on the popular ‘College Gameday’ Saturday morning college football television program.
This weekend’s program was filmed on location at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana during which Desmond Howard decided to make a bold pick in the face of his fellow ‘Gameday’ hosts.
Howard is notorious for picking his alma mater Michigan even during times when no one expects it.
Howard’s support of the Wolverines was called out by former Alabama head coach Nick Saban last month as he sarcastically asked Howard, “Do you ever pick against Michigan?”
On Saturday with Michigan a 14.5-point underdog to the No. 8-ranked, undefeated Indiana Hoosiers, Howard continued the trend, becoming the only College Gameday host to pick his beloved Wolverines on a panel of eight pickers and experts.

Howard also bucked the prevailing opinion of 84% of college football fans as he chose Sherrone Moore’s team to beat Curt Cignetti, Kurtis Rourke and the Hoosiers on Saturday.
