Student Faces Charges After Allegedly Threatening ‘Many People Will Die’ at His High School In Oakland County

A 16-year-old male student faces a charge of making a threat of violence against Lake Orion High School in northern Oakland County, leading to hundreds of students calling in sick this week, The Oakland Press reports.

The teen, who is being held at Oakland County Children’s Village, was arrested Tuesday for allegedly posting on social media that an unnamed person planned to attack the school on Wednesday and that “many people will die,” according to the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office. His name has not been released.
