UMich Encampment ‘11’ student sentenced to four days in jail for alleged campus ban violation

At yesterday’s Encampment ‘11’ hearing, Washtenaw County District Court Judge Cedric Simpson ordered LSA senior Henry MacKeen-Shapiro to spend four days in the county jail for violating a condition of his bond.

Simpson found MacKeen-Shapiro violated a bond condition that barred him from entering the University of Michigan campus except to attend class or work. According to Simpson, MacKeen-Shapiro was seen posting fliers at Angell Hall on March 28.
