6 firefighters sworn into Ann Arbor department at fire truck ceremony

ANN ARBOR, MI – Six firefighters were sworn in at an Ann Arbor Fire Department ceremony involving a fire truck.

The event was held inside the downtown fire station, 111 N. 5th Ave. Normally the event includes the tradition of pushing in the fire truck, but that did not happen due to inclement weather.

Martin Anderson was sworn in first as an emergency medical services officer, while Christian Cousar and William Pritula were sworn in as drivers and operators.

Peyton McEllis, Tyler DeWeese and Anthony Jaime were all sworn in as firefighters at the ceremony.

Also presented at the ceremony were three letters of commendation presented to Lt. Chris Nielson, Operator Michael Updyke and Firefighter Jacob Wing…
