An Oakland County woman has been taken into custody after her 66-year-old mother was found with a fatal neck wound. Jennifer Suzanne Cataldo, 45, of Royal Oak, was charged with first-degree premeditated murder last Friday. Police had responded to an emergency call from her mother, Leslie Ann Cataldo, stating her daughter was having a mental health crisis, CBS News Detroit reports.
According to authorities, the call came in last Wednesday around 7:40 p.m. from an apartment on the 3600 block of Crooks Road. Upon arrival, officers from the Royal Oak Police Department detected signs of a struggle and found Leslie Cataldo unresponsive on the apartment floor, as stated by ClickOnDetroit.
