Motorcyclist dead following head-on collision in Michigan

LENAWEE COUNTY, Mich. — Sheriff deputies are investigating a head-on collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle Wednesday morning in Tecumseh Township.

According to a report from the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office, at 7:04 a.m., a silver Honda CBR 1000 motorcycle was traveling north on Newburg Highway, near Burwyn Hills Drive, at a high rate of speed when the driver, a 19-year-old man from Tecumseh, Michigan, lost control on a curve, causing him to enter the oncoming lane of traffic. He was then struck by a Chevrolet C5500 truck, which was being driven southbound by a 41-year-old man from Ann Arbor.

The driver of the truck was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured. However, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene…
