Flint man sent to trial in Livingston County armed robbery case

HARTLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WJRT) – A Flint man will stand trial on three charges for allegedly robbing a gas station south of Fenton at gunpoint in May.

Court records show 29-year-old Dequan Currie was bound over to trial in Livingston County Circuit Court for the May 2 robbery of the Mobil gas station at Clyde Road and U.S. 23 in Hartland Township.

Currie is accused of entering the store with a handgun and demanding the clerk hand over money from the cash register. The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office says Currie fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes…
