Suspect charged with attempted murder after man’s throat is slashed with a box cutter at Ann Arbor’s Liberty Plaza

ANN ARBOR (WWJ) — An Ann Arbor man who allegedly used a box cutter to slash another man’s throat has been charged with attempted murder.

Ann Arbor Police responded to a call at around 11 p.m. Monday, July 7, about a man found with a slash wound to the neck at Liberty Plaza — a public space on S. Division, near E. Huron, in downtown Ann Arbor.

When officers arrived, the suspect — later identified as 30-year-old Kimani Hamilton — had already left the scene…
