LENAWEE COUNTY, Mich. — The Lenawee Humane Society in Adrian is asking for community support after a mother dog and her three puppies were found abandoned in a cage in the shelter’s parking lot earlier this week.
The dogs, including mama dog named Middy, also known as Midnight, were discovered Tuesday morning. Alongside the cage, there was a bag of supplies and a note, according to Sasha Wilkerson, the shelter’s director of communications and marketing.
“It was covered, there was a bag of supplies leaning against the cage and then there was a note that gave us some information,” Wilkerson said. “Inside the cage was a mama dog and three babies.”…
