Despite closing early Saturday, Ann Arbor Art Fair has ‘banner year’ for crowds, sales

ANN ARBOR, MI — The Ann Arbor Art Fair wrapped up another successful year with organizers reporting record sales for artists and strong attendance despite closing early on the final day due to weather concerns.

The three-day event, which ran from Thursday to Saturday, July 17-19, brought thousands of visitors to downtown Ann Arbor to experience art, food, live music and entertainment.

The fair usually has approximately 400,000 attendees, though this year’s final numbers won’t be determined for a few weeks, according to Karen Delhey, the executive director of The Guild’s Ann Arbor Summer Art Fair. It is one of three independently organized fairs — along with the The Ann Arbor Street Art Fair, The Original and The Ann Arbor State Street District Art Fair – that collaborate to create the largest juried art fair in the United States…
