University of Michigan dance in running for best ‘college sports tradition’

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — College sports is full of unique traditions and one from the University of Michigan is considered one of the best — but it’s not the one you’d think.

USA Today is taking a poll as part of its “10Best” series to determine the nation’s 10 favorite college sports tradition. One of the choices is Michigan’s “Blues Brothers” dance.

This one may not be as popular for fans who have never attended a game in Ann Arbor, but it has long been a tradition at Yost Ice Arena and has spread to football games at The Big House and basketball games at the Crisler Center…
