Flint woman sues hotel over serious infection linked to pool

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (WJRT) – A Flint woman is suing an Ann Arbor hotel, claiming she contracted an antibiotic-resistant infection from its swimming pool in June.

Alexis Williams, 23, said she stayed at the Residence Inn on June 24 and used its swimming pool with her two younger cousins. Her attorney said the two cousins became ill, and Williams scraped her right leg below the knee.

Williams’ leg started hurting, swelling and burning, eventually making her unable to walk. She was hospitalized for eight days and underwent three surgeries…
