Man who told police his girlfriend died by suicide accused of murder, held on $1M bond

WAYNE COUNTY, MI – A Michigan man has been charged with murder in a woman’s death that was originally ruled a suicide.

The Sumpter Township Police Department said July 31 that David Paul McPherson, 31, was arraigned for second-degree homicide and felony firearm in Wayne County.

McPherson was the live-in boyfriend of 24-year-old Haleigh Pace, a recent Eastern Michigan graduate, when she was found dead in the Holiday West Mobile Home Community on Montana Street on June 29…
