DETROIT – FBI agents have arrested a Michigan motorist who they say flashed his middle finger to federal agents and twice cut off a van full of Border Patrol agents and a dozen immigrants detained for illegally entering the U.S., according to federal court records unsealed Monday.
An FBI complaint against 30-year-old Jacob Nathaniel Len of Ypsilanti describes a high-speed confrontation last month along two highways in Michigan that jeopardized the safety of 15 immigrants as a federal convoy hauled the detainees from a Border Patrol office in Metro Detroit to a privately run detention center more than 200 miles away in Baldwin in northern Michigan.
