SCIO TWP., MI — Local wineries are hard to come by in southeastern Michigan, especially in Washtenaw County.
Owners Lori and Brian Herron are trying to fill that gap.
The couple opened Social Vines Vineyard and Winery at 6620 Dexter Ann Arbor Road, just outside Dexter, on July 11. The winery is open to the public from 3 to 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays for wine tasting and charcuterie boards from Main Street Provisions, a cheese and meat shop in Chelsea.
