West Nile detected in Washtenaw County mosquitoes

WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI — Washtenaw County health officials are warning residents about the detection of West Nile virus in the area and urging them to protect themselves from mosquito bites.

Mosquitoes collected on Aug. 5 and Aug. 8 in Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti Township, and Saline tested positive for West Nile virus, county health officials announced.
