COLDWATER, Mich. (WOOD) — A 40-year-old woman was arrested for smuggling drugs into a Coldwater prison Thursday, according to Michigan State Police.
Between 3:30 p.m. and 4 p.m., the woman, who was from Westland, went to Lakeland Correctional Facility to visit with a prisoner, according to Michigan State Police. She was detained for smuggling drugs into the prison.
MSP was called, investigated and arrested the woman. She was booked into the Branch County Jail for two felony crimes, which were not listed by police. They also did not name her because she has not yet been arraigned…
