The City of Ann Arbor has entered the final phase of its Comprehensive Land Use Plan (Draft 3). Community members can review the draft and provide feedback until January 5, 2026. The plan will guide the city’s development and land use decisions through 2050. It is the result of several years of public engagement and planning.
On October 7, 2025, the Planning Commission sent Draft 3 to the City Council. The Council approved the draft and started a 63-day public review period at its October 20 meeting. The review period was extended to cover the holiday season and allow more residents to participate.
During the review, the city will send notices to neighboring municipalities and agencies, as required by the Michigan Planning Enabling Act.
