Nessel urges public hearing on DTE’s data center deal

LANSING, Mich. (WLNS)– Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel is urging residents to file public comments with the Michigan Public Services Commission (MPSC) and demand a hearing on DTE Electric’s plan to service a 1.4-gigawatt data center in Saline.

According to Nessel, DTE has filed an “ex parte” request for approval of two special contracts to provide electric service to the data center, seeking approval without formal hearings or traditional oversight to protect ratepayers and the public.
