Sophomore forward Will Horcoff takes his role as a goalscorer seriously. The No. 1 Michigan continues to benefit from his dedicated service, departing Cambridge with yet another series sweep under its belt due to his heroics. Horcoff shined under the lights of four goal lamps — all ignited due to his efforts — to keep the Wolverines atop the national leaderboard.
Michigan found itself in an eerily familiar pattern of Saturday-struggles once more despite fighting out to secure the series sweep. Friday night, the Wolverines dominated Harvard in a 5-1 victory, with Horcoff contributing to the offensive success by recording two goals and one assist. But his impact would be felt greater the second game when the tides weren’t rolling in the Wolverines’ favor as typical with second games of their series.
“It was a really physical game, kind of back and forth,” Horcoff said. “Even when you’re up and when you’re down you have a job of sticking to the game plan.”…
