Man charged with torturing woman pleads no contest, which ends trial

ANN ARBOR, MI – A man has pleaded no contest to raping and torturing a woman, stopping his jury trial.

Thomas Daniel Tieking, 46, took a last-minute plea deal on Dec. 8, the day his jury trial before Washtenaw County Trial Court Judge Carol Kuhnke was supposed to begin, according to court records.
