Woman Arrested After 100+ MPH Police Chase, Told Officers It Was “A Little Bit of Fun”

Video obtained from Farmington Police through a FOIA request shows a high-speed chase that ended with a woman’s arrest in fall of this year.

Grace Varilone fled from officers after being spotted driving at a high rate of speed. The pursuit reached speeds of more than 100 miles per hour in areas with posted speed limits of 25 mph before the vehicle became disabled after driving through lawns and striking a drainage ditch.

After her arrest, Varilone was read her Miranda rights and agreed to speak with officers. According to police reports, she told officers she did not stop because “it was a little bit of fun.”…
