Burning mattress is 2nd suspicious fire in several days at downtown Ann Arbor apartment

ANN ARBOR, MI – A burning mattress is the second suspicious fire at a downtown Ann Arbor apartment in just three days, fire officials said.

Fire crews were called around 2:15 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 14 for a report of a fire at Courthouse Square, 100 S. Fourth Avenue, said Mike Kennedy, chief of the city’s fire department. Crews found a mattress in a fourth-floor trash room of the apartment building had been set on fire.
