New Year Violence in Michigan: 1 Dead, 3 Critically Injured in Separate Bar Incidents in Detroit and Garden City

Violence marred the early hours of the new year in Michigan with incidents occurring at two separate bars, leaving one man dead and three critically injured.

According to ClickOnDetroit, a shooting and stabbing at Chita’s Nefertiti Bar, located on Grand River in Detroit’s west side, resulted in a man being pronounced dead at the scene from gunshot wounds, and another man suffering from stab wounds is now in critical condition, after the police responded to the scene just after 1 a.m. yesterday.

Meanwhile, CBS Detroit reported that a 29-year-old man from Livonia, identified as Brian Jaron Lindsay, is facing charges including two counts of assault with intent to murder among others in the wake of a New Year’s Day shooting outside of a bar in Garden City, which left two men critically injured following an altercation, the men were taken to the hospital and were in critical condition on Thursday evening according to police reports…
