Sword-wielding man surrenders to police after 30-hour standoff at Ypsilanti home

YPSILANTI (WWJ) — A man is in custody after a police standoff that lasted more than 30 hours in Ypsilanti.

The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s office said they took a 53-year-old man into custody late Monday night, after he barricaded himself in the upper levels of a home.
