Governor Whitmer Appoints Tanya Grillo and Tamara Garwood to Judicial Positions in Macomb County and Ann Arbor

According to an official press release from the governor’s office, Tanya Grillo and Magistrate Tamara Garwood are set to take on their new judicial responsibilities, filling vacancies in Macomb County and Ann Arbor, respectively. Both come highly qualified, bearing years of legal experience and a commendable track record within their communities.

The 16th Circuit Court in Macomb County will soon welcome Tanya Grillo. Bringing her prowess as an administrative hearing officer and past regional manager at the Michigan Indigent Defense Commission, Grillo is equipped to judiciously navigate the court’s proceedings. Her dedication, manifested through her roles on executive boards pertaining to women in law, speaks to a broader commitment to serve, as she aims, “I take this responsibility seriously and am committed to serving with integrity, fairness, and respect for the rule of law. In Ann Arbor, Magistrate Tamara Garwood is set to ascend from her current role to that of a judge at the 15th District Court.
